"Last Modified"

Several of my Sharepoint list entries are showing a "last modified" date of a few hours ago even though they haven't been edited in weeks. I thought that this might be an unavoidable consequence of system updates, so I made a Flow that would trigger a timestamp of when a specific field was changed. This Flow only triggers when this field is different from the value that was in it previously, so there is no way it can be triggered by just "updating" the list entry which I assumed the system was doing. Yet when I logged onto SP this morning I found that the timestamp had been changed to the same as the "Last Modified" system update.

Can anyone shed some light on what is going on, and possibly advise on how to stop these erroneous "last modified" dates?

    Hi finnapx,

Sorry for the inconvenience it has caused you.

I did a test on my side, but I cannot reproduce the same scenario.

There’s a list library I created a month ago. You can notice that the last modified time of these items is correct.

In the list library, you can click All Items > Edit current view to show these two column.

Besides, we’d like to collect some information to further check the scenario:

    1. Could you please provide a screenshot of it?
    2. Did other users also meet the same scenario?

    Best regards,

    Madoc
