Call-to-action button

Hello all,

We have notice that when in EDGE only, if you insert 2 or more call-to-action buttons on one sharepoint page, the titles of the second and third+ buttons do not display.  However, the titles DO display in Chrome and IE.

Has anyone had this issue, or know how we can resolve this?

Thanks

LK

    Hi Lauren,

Thanks for your updates. Based on your description, I did a new test.

You can notice that these buttons are adjacent. And the titles can be displayed normally.

This is not an expected behavior. I would like to help you, but since we can’t reproduce the same issue which means the issue mostly happens only to the specific tenant, something needed to be checked from the backend. However, our community support team has limited resources, I’d like you to escalate this issue to the related product team. In this kind of scenario, create a support ticket in the Office 365 Admin Center via Global Admin, the support engineers there have the correct escalation channel and this is the most efficient way to report such a back end issue for Office 365 Online Services.

In addition, we made a summary with you in PM, you can kindly share it with the support team.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Modoc

    Hello Madoc,

We are wanting to use two (or more) call to action buttons in line/next to one another, within one web part, (see screengrab) rather then underneath each other, as your screengrab displayed.

I have tried your suggestions, however we are still experiencing the same issues:

    1. I have opened the site page in the in-private window and check the result.
    2. I have right-click the Windows button> Apps & Features > Microsoft Edge > Advanced options, try to Repair and Reset.
    3. I have also created a secondary test page. Though I still get the same issue in edge, whereby we are unable to view the secondary or third web part title.

We think for now that enough time as been spent on this . Therefore, we are going to look at other ways around displaying our content on the SharePoint pages.

Our initial reasons for wanting to use call-to-action buttons was because we felt Call-to-action web parts maintain a more consistent format on the page visually (sizing and placement).  We have tried using an image, with a corresponding link attachment, but the images do not confine themselves, as effectively, to the size and where they sit on the page.

Thank you for trying to help.

    Lauren

    Hi LK,

Regarding this scenario, I did a test on Edge from my side, but I cannot reproduce the same problem.

You can notice that all the names of call to action buttons show correctly on Edge.

To troubleshoot this problem, we’d like to suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Open the site page in the in-private window and check the result.
    2. Right-click the Windows button> Apps & Features > Microsoft Edge > Advanced options, try to Repair and Reset.

If the issue persists, please provide some information with us to further check the scenario:

    1. Does the issue occur on all pages? Or just this certain page.

Please have tests on other pages on the same site and pages on other sites to exclude the issue related to the tenant.

    1. Regarding the problem you mentioned, please provide a screenshot of it and share it with us.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Madoc
