How can i link a table's heading value, using Structured References, so it will display in a text box?

Simply using the equal sign, and assigning it the structured reference, does not work.

    Hi GRosner,

We test in our side; we link test box cell addressed in table; it works fine in this way. My test result below.

    Let us take an example

    1. Open Excel
    2. Click on the Insert tab
    3. Click the Text Box button
    4. A text Box will Open
    5. Select the Text Box
    6. Type = in the Formula Bar “=$A$2”
    7. Now when we change the Text in cell A2, automatically text in the Text Box will change.

If you are interested using VBA code, you can refer this thread.

Meanwhile, we want to confirm are you using above steps to link cell to text box? if not please share with us steps you did. And to narrow down your issue, could you share a screenshot Office version (Excel >File >Account >Capture a screenshot)

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Waqas Muhammad

Text boxes don't "know" structured table references, so you'll have to use the cell address instead.
