I have a yearly subscription to Office which just renewed in January. I also have a monthly subscription to Project Professional Desktop. I'm moving to a new computer. Office came over ok but as always, but Project - which is sort of an Office product but seems to be an afterthought - did not. I was able to download and install Project. But whenever I go to activate it, it says "The Products we found in your account can't be used to activate Project."
I've tried logging in with my email address and then with my micsosoftonline account. Same result. Is there some clue somewhere, perhaps in the monthly statement I get from M'soft on what the heck to use to activate Project? I'm clueless on this.

I appreciate your attempt but I think I need to call Microsoft on this one. I have always been horribly confused about my login and subscription services and some long "microsoftonline" account I have. I can see Project nowhere on any of my logins yet I'm using it on my old computer. Rather than go back and forth endlessly like this, I need to talk to someone there to find out exactly how this all works. It just does not make any sense to me and never has.
Perfect. Can you please go here, logging in with the relevant account:
https://account.microsoft.com/services/
and check that Project is among the active products?
If so, can you please go here:
https://account.microsoft.com/services/office/i...
and sign it out from everywhere, then try again activation?
Both 64-bit
Ciao,

Regarding your question, can you please check if both Office and Project use the same architecture (bot 32 bits or both 64 bits)?
File -> Account -> About [Office Product]
Please let me know.
Ciao
