SharePoint Online Activity Feed Modification

Hello! I was hoping to see if there were any additional configuration and editing that can be done to the activity list on a SharePoint Online site then updating the number of items that appear? We were wondering if there was a way to simply list it instead of having it display as tiles?

Thank you!

Dear Sam,

Thanks for your detailed information for pointing me out.

In Site Activity Web Part, we can only show tiles rather than lists to show the items. And if we click See all button on the right upper corner, it will go to a page which contains all tiles. It’s by design of SharePoint Online, we are sorry that it cannot be changed.

    I think I was misunderstood.

The Acitivity Feed that comes with a Team Site, is there any way to modify it beyond the number of items it shows?

    It appears as tiles.

Is there a way to have this list appear as a list instead of tiles?

    Dear Sam,

Glad to provide my suggestion for you.

Per your description, you want to create a configuration which can show the updates number of a list. We are sorry for that there is no out-of-box way in SharePoint Online list and library. If we add a new item in list, it will show this icon in the title of item which means this item is new. However, we can’t display how many items is updated.

We utterly understand this feature can convenient your work if you add many items in the same time,  as a work around, you can add a column named Date then use Export to Excel feature, it can create a query.iqy file, Then you can filter the items to calculate how many items are added in this time. You can check this article to know about it. Export to Excel from SharePoint

We sincerely suggest you post this idea in SharePoint UserVoice which is a specific platform for us to collect user's request.

The related team will adapt high votes idea and keep bring better using experience. Your idea may turn this feature into reality and benefit more users.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Ivy
