I am trying to connect to Exchange using Power Query. But after I select Allowin the Microsoft Exchange Autodiscover Service dialog box, it replies me a warning that "We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again."

But my credential is correct.

what should I do now?

Hi Ting Li,

Thanks for your query in this community.

May I confirm which Exchange environment are you trying to connect? Is it your local Exchange Server or Exchange Online? Since you mentioned the "Microsoft Exchange Autodiscover Service dialog box", according to the following article, you are more like an Exchange on-premise user.

Connect to Exchange (Power Query)

In that scenario, I would suggest you raising a new thread in TechNet forum, which is a specific forum for discussing issue occurring under Exchange Server environment.

Regards,

Alex Chen

    Hi Ting Li,

Since our specialty is in Office 365 Online services, we can't provide too much suggestions under the On-Premise environment.

I noticed you mentioned that you are sure that you have the correct account & password. Under this scenario, I would recommend you check if changing a PC, then login Power Query with your Exchange Credentials? Or ask your colleagues if they could get the data via Power Query with their own Credentials?

Unfortunately, so far I couldn't find a confirmed solution on this issue. If your colleagues are having the same issue while contacting to Exchange server. Then, please inform your Organization's Office 365 Admin and create a support ticket on this issue.

    Regards,

    Alex Chen

    Hi Alex

Thank you for your reply. I think it's a local Exchange Server. Actually, I want to connect and get the emails data (such as title, data, send by ) from a public email of my department (e.g. ******@xxxx.xx**** ). Then track and analysis them in Excel spreadsheet.

Do you have any sample case or an instruction on this?
