Error Message in MS Teams

I am a volunteer with a charity working for their IT manager.  My role is to roll out MS teams to their retail outlets.  Have installed Teams on the machines and now trying to learn how to drive it - so that I can show/teach the users in the charity.  We are using Office 365 for business with business One Drive, plus Sharepoint and Azure etc.  When I took up this role I knew nothing about Teams.  So I am trying out using Teams to communicate.  So I have the log on of one of our retail outlet.  Tried to logon to Teams and connect at home on one of my machines so that I could communicate to another machine here as me.  When I try to log on as one of our retail outlets i get the message Your sign on was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource.  For example you might be signing in from a browser app (NO I AM using the Teams App on my PC)  or a locatioin that is restricted by your admin.  ???  Unfortunately I cannot talk to my IT manager for he is no longer available.  Any ideas?

    If I use the Web based Teams I can log on as one of our shops and use Teams.  If I use the app on my PC I can logon but not use Teams.  But maybe that is because we are using Office 365 One Drive for Business SharePoint Azure etc...  I don't know enough about these business aspects of Office Teams etc.  Unfortunately the IT manager of my Charity has just died so I cannot ask him to explain it.  But I am gradually learninig how to use teams and help others in our charity to start using it.  My background is more networking and UNIX rather than Microsoft Windows and Office etc.  But thanks for your kind help.  The forum is a great help.

    Thank you for the posting in our forum community.

    According to your description, we suppose you cannot access Microsoft Teams resources in your Organization. If so that, for accessing such kind of resources or application in the organization, the Office 365 admin has must assigned proper Office 365 license to their user. For accessing Microsoft Teams application, the user has must assigned Microsoft Teams license from Office 365 admin center.

    Here is the detailed steps for assigning Microsoft Teams license under Office 365 Business Product license:

    Sign in to Office 365 portal > Go to Office 365 Admin Center> under Users > Active users> select the user, choose edit besides **Product license (**in new admin look select “Licenses or Apps”tab) > tick Microsoft Teams under Office 365 Business product license for the selected user > Click on Save changes.

    1.       Could you please provide us detailed information about this “retail outlet”? Is this retail outlet is any member or any guest for your Office 365 tenant organization?
