powerpoint for Mac

I am trying to package my powerpoint presentations.  I have included both audio and video.  When I Crete my videos, I use my iPhone and have video files that are 60-100mbs.  I noticed that in powerpoint the I can "save media as" and it saves it as an mp4 file.  However, the mp4 file is three times the size of the original file.

If I package my powerpoint presentation, do I need to include the video files I originally used or are they automatically embedded in the presentation?

Am I embedding the files if I "save media as" and if not what is the idea of this function?

If I create a presentation that includes video and audio, should I create a folder for video and audio and then include that in the package for the presentation?

Just trying to make sure my buyers will receive what they need in a quality package and all the video and audio work as advertised.

I have the latest powerpoint for Mac that is available.

Thank you for your response.

A glance at the presentation file size should tell you. If the size is at least as big as the total file size of the videos, then they are embedded.

When placing video, if you simply click on the Insert button, the file is embedded. You do not need to send the audio and video files separately, which would only confuse most users.

The right-click Save Media As command is for extracting the embedded video from your presentation to a separate video or audio file.

Inserting an embedded video is convenient, but it increases the size of your presentation.

A linked video keeps your presentation file smaller, but links can break. Microsoft recommend storing presentations and linked videos in the same folder.

Thank you John.  That was quick.  I am selling my lessons online and need to make sure I am giving the buyer what they need.
