Continuous columns and rows on same page?

I am creating a list that uses three columns.  I would like it to automatically start a new set of three columns on the same page without going below the bottom row. I would like that to repeat until it reaches the right hand page margin, then start a second page below.  I guess I'm trying to have the data flow from top to bottom, then repeat top to bottom, etc.???

re:  across the worksheet then down

Another way is to use my free "Side by Side" workbook.

It creates a new sheet with the new list layout.  Choice of 1, 2, or 3 sets per each printed page.

    List continuity is preserved.

You are a genius...thank you!  Worked perfectly!

My list is alpha arranged.  If I insert new names anywhere in list, will the names following automatically drop down one row?

    re:  "where to begin"

Open the workbook containing your list.

Open the Side by Side workbook.

Read the few lines of the general guidelines.

    Click the "Get Started" button.

The program walks you thru the necessary steps.

If you have a specific question, let me know.

Thank you for your response re side by side.  That is exactly the format I need.  I downloaded the file you provided but am not sure where to begin creating my own list. Can you help an old guy out? Thanks again.

    Hi Jim

One option is copy and paste all the 3 column lists to Word and set the layout to 2 or 3 columns. It is complicated to achieve using Excel.
