In the office, we use Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus and the files are saved on a network drive.

Recently, when a colleague opens a .xlsm file, chart sheets' names are shown as default names, i.e. Chart1, Chart2, Chart3, etc. instead of the names these chart sheets were given, i.e. F1_C, F1_N, F1_R, etc. At the same time, another colleague and I do not experience this issue when we open this file.

A colleague's computer:

Another colleague's computer and my computer:

My colleague has tried to save the file as a .xlsx but it did not solve the problem.

It seems another user had this issue a decade ago:

Any suggestions?

    Hi Dihao,

Many thanks for your reply. I am sorry that work was rolling in and I lost track of this.

I was using Office 365 32-bit and I believe my college was using Office 2016 32-bit. However, another colleague using Office 2016 32-bit did not have the problem.

The problem happened to a specific Macro-Enabled workbook (.xlsm).

I have now replaced my Office 365 32-bit with Office 365 64-bit. Hopefully that will solve the problem when I update the file in a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted.

    Best,

    H.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your question in this community. From your description, when you and your colleagues open an Excel workbook on Network drive. the tab name of the same workbook is changed on one of your colleagues’ computer. I also did a test to reproduce this scenario in Office clients Version 1912 Build 12325.20172 Monthly Channel Targeted. I created a .xlsx workbook and share it with my colleague on OneDrive. It seems okay from my side. The tab name for worksheet doesn’t be changed in Excel application.

After that I went through the thread you shared with me, it seems that is occurred randomly on different devices in pervious. However, it is a thread from years ago, some of the information could be outdated.

To further narrow down this problem, may I know the following information at your convenience?

1: The screenshot of the Office version you and your colleagues using. You can go to File > Account > Under Product Information to find it.

2: Does this problem occur in all your existing Excel workbooks or the specific workbooks only? You can also try to create a new workbook and copy and paste data to the new workbook and see whether the problem still exists.

3: If the problem is happened in the specific workbook only, is there any unique things contain in this workbook, such as Marcos?

    Best regards,

    Dihao
