If you lock a section in One Note and forget the password, how can you retrieve the password or unlock the section?

    That was unnecessary! If someone died and the password cant be retrieved, there is no "some need to learn the hard way". You dont know the circumstance and therefore, if not constructive, dont comment.  I do not need someone making a bad situation worse.  Thank you.

    So what is the alternative? Lose the data or notes for good? - Yes. If this had been so easy, anybody can retrieve anybody's else password and security would have no meaning in this context.

    Sorry, this is a truth you would need to accept.
