Visio is missing?

I downloaded and had been using Visio for about a year now. All of a sudden, it seems to no longer be on my computer. I search for it, and it doesn't exist. I tried to find it in the app list to uninstall to reinstall it and it isn't there either. I attempted to reinstall it anyway and it says it can't be installed because there is already a copy installed. I can't even open old projects in it, they open in internet explorer. I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out. Any advice would be great!

    Hi,

The copy of Visio I have is Visio Pro Retail.

    It is the 2016 version.

If I go to the Control Panel and select Programs and Features, Visio/Microsoft Visio does not exist.

Also, when I have tried to use the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall program to attempt to correct/fix the issue, it does not find it either. I have gone through the RegEdit to try to find it's product code and it doesn't seem to exist there either ((not in the 32 or 64 locations) that was an exhausting process)

I did try most of those prior to asking for help here. The issue in facing is much more complicated than it is simple. I am very proficient with computers, this is just something that I have never heard of or experienced before.

    Hi MatthewMinzghor

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

    A. Type visio in Cortana search and it should pop up.

    B. Double click on a Visio file and see whether Visio gets opened. If not, right click on a Visio file > Open With > See if Visio is listed as one of the options.

Let me know the results of above.
