How do I release the anchors on my table so that I can move it around like a text box?  Currently, I can only place it left, center, or right. What settings do I use to format the table?

    Hi Paula

The best option is to insert a Text Box in Word, then set the border and fill on that Textbox to none. Right click the Text Box and set Wrap Text to Behind Text

Then copy the table into that Text box, you can then place the Text Box with the contained table anywhere you wish on the page . ..

Behind Text is not suitable for an object you want to wrap text around. Square would be the preferred wrapping.

On the Table tab of Table Properties, you can set text wrapping to Around instead of None. But if you drag the table by the table handle (the four-headed arrow at the top left corner), it will become wrapped. It is important to know this because if you move it by dragging (rather than cut and paste), it will become wrapped (though it may not appear so), and this may cause problems with repeating headings and other issues.
