Powerpoint font issue when editing

I have recently worked on a template for a client.

I embedded the fonts using the normal procedure before sharing the file with the client (save as -> options -> embed all fonts).

But the client tells me that when importing some slides from other presentations, she receives warning messages with the list of fonts other than the ones embedded and that cannot be saved with the presentation.

Both she and I have worked with other existing templates before and we never had similar issues. When importing it would directly convert the font to the one used on the template.

Can you please help me?

Thank you

Normally when you bring in slides from another presentation by copy/pasting or the Re-use Slides feature, PPT asks (sometimes a bit obscurely) whether you want to preserve the formatting of the original slide or apply the formatting provided by the template of the presentation you're adding the slides TO.

If you choose to preserve the original formatting, that'll include any font choices from the original, so your presentation will need fonts that may not be part of the current template. If the needed fonts are a) not installed on the current computer or b) not embeddable fonts, you'd get the message you're describing.
