Hi,

I've created a TOC in Word and noticed that I have long headings that overhang its page number. How can I adjust it so that this is resolved?

Thank you.

Modify the relevant TOC style (TOC 1, TOC 2, etc.) to have a right indent, leaving the right-aligned tab stop at the right margin. See http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/TOCTips.htm#IndentsTabs

Suzanne has answered your question. If it seems a bit brief, it is because the page she gave you as a link, one she wrote, lays it all out in detail. I hope you will mark her response as the Answer. If you need more help, please do write back.
