Code for a video in PowerPoint presentation

Hi everybody

I have a PowerPoint presentation that I want to set to play on Loop, however, there is a slide with a video on it.  When it reaches that slide, it stops and I have to physically press Play.  Somebody on this group sent me some code to enter in the Embed code to tell it to play automatically once it reaches that slide and it works perfectly, however, I need the code to tell it to continue to the next slide one the video ends...

Can anybody help with this?  As you can tell, I'm not a coder.....!

Thank you.

Louise

You're welcome Louise! The webcam is possibly there to add the human element to the picture, which I guess can be more interesting to watch.

This is what Microsoft has to say about it (reference below link):

Turn a slide presentation into a video recording that has narration. You record the presentation in PowerPoint and then share it with your audience, who can watch it as a PowerPoint Show or as a video. Some educators use recorded lessons as part of a flipped classroom.

Yes, you will appear that way to your audience when you play the presentation! My webcam quality is not so good, but Microsoft recommends using an external webcam in such a situation with poor camera quality.

Hello. My name is Sam. I'm an independent advisor and expert.

From what I can tell, you've already solved the automatic starting of your video. If not, I suggest clicking the video object and clicking the Playback tab in the top ribbon, then setting 'Start' to Automatically. Note that when I tried it out I had added a YouTube video by clicking the Insert tab on the ribbon and selecting Video>Online Video. Rather than using code, you can go to the Transitions tab and check the box under Advance Slide and set it to the amount of time matching the length of the clip.

I tried this method with success, but please let us know if you need further assistance.

Thanks, Sam

    Hi John

Apologies, yes it's a YouTube video.  You can edit the code where it advances to the next slide automatically and plays the video but I don't know the code.  I only have it to make it play the video automatically.....

I'm guessing you mean this is YouTube video in which case I don;t think you can automatically move on.

    Hi Louise

This should be easily done, by setting the transition time to 0:00:00 on that slide . .

Please see Steve RIndsberg's answer on this thread for a step by step on getting Powerpoint to advance to the next slide when that video finishes . . .
