SharePoint 404 Error

Anyone else getting this? I’ve been getting weak responses back from support about getting this corrected. Something about ‘Service Degradation’. In the meantime, cannot use Sharepoint properly. Moved from Google Suite to O365 specifically for Sharepoint capabilities. Now we’ve been down more than a week.

This is happening on ME on Windows 10, Safari on Mac OS, Safari on iPhone, Safari on iPadOS, Chrome on Windows 10, any device I can get my hands on.

Did all that. Service Health was fine.....

I solved it on my own. Undeleted 'Communications Site' which then took care of all the issues. It's the first thing I asked Support if I should do, but was told it should not have affected Sharepoint at all.....

Sad that no one could help me for over a week.

This isn't uncommon - a poorly made product like SP needs top notch support which has never been Msft's strong point.

    Hi Omar,

I checked the status of the ticket you provided, and it is still active. The issue you encountered is indeed unusual, deleting one site should not affect other sites. As you mentioned, you’ve been told about some service degradation, it might be possible that the error occurred because of the degradation.

You can check the service health in your tenant and if you do not see any service degradation mentioned by the support engineer, then reply to the email from the support and let them know the status. They will further proceed to investigate the issue.

    To check service health:

    1. Go to https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home and sign in with an admin account.
    2. To open service health, in the admin center, go to Health > Service health, or click the Service health card on the Home dashboard. The dashboard card indicates whether there is an active service issue and links to the detailed service health page.
    3. The health state of each cloud service is shown in a table format with an icon to indicate possible states.

    Regards,

    Neha

    Neha,

It happens whenever I click on 'Sharepoint' from any of O365 access points. There is already a ticket well over a week old filed with Microsoft: 1xx6xxxx. Plenty of screenshots and explanations already submitted.

All I repeatedly see is Service Degradation. SPxxxxxx. See if it works now. But it doesn't look like anyone is actively looking at my issue, just parroting service notices.

    Omar
