Can not see option " Value from Cells" in Format Data Label fro the Chart

Question

Dear Sir/ Madam

I am using Excel for Mac and have problem as below ( 2 photo i do attached)

When i insert Chart in Excel, i right click on Label in the Chart and choose Format Data Labels, If i using Excel for Window we can see option '" Value from Cells " in the box, but if we using Excel for MAC, we can not see them. You can see 2 photo i attached, Can you help me ?

Unfortunately, this feature isn't available in Excel for Mac at the moment, but the Mac team is actively working on it. As an alternative, one of the Mac PMs came up with some VBA code that we just linked to in this topic: Add or remove data labels in a chart.

Hi GiaoTran,

I've tested on the latest 16.31 version of Excel on Mojave, it seems I can encounter the same problem. But I'm not sure whether this is expected behavior at present, I'll do more testing and searching on this problem and reply to you as soon as possible with the test result:).

Besides, we feel sorry for the inconvenience caused by this problem.

I’ve finished testing, but unfortunately, it seems this feature is not available for Excel for Mac at present. I’ve tested on the 16.29.1-16.33 versions of Excel on Mojave and Catalina, none of them have the Value From Cells option on the Format Data Labels panel.

Really sorry for the inconvenience the problem caused, I would like to suggest you share a new idea in Feedback by UserVoice of Excel for Mac, in the event other users are also having the same demand, they would be able to vote for your post. The more users vote, the more likely this feature will attract developers' attention, it will benefit more users once this idea can be accepted by the developing teams.

If it's convenience, you can post the UserVoice link of the newly created idea here, other community members with similar needs can vote for your idea.
