Disappearing "e"

When I type the word "developed", the "e" disappears and I'm left with "developd" which I then in turn have to correct through the spell check option. It is quite annoying to have to do this every time and I type the word "developed" quite often. It is only this particular word, no other word ending in "ed" does this.

    It might be AutoCorrect.

    Select File > Options.

Click Proofing in the navigation pane on the left, then click AutoCorrect Options...

Type developed in the Replace box. Does developd appear in the With box? If so, this is the culprit.

Click Delete to remove this AutoCorrect entry, then click OK.

    Hi mHeath1

this is very unusual behavior, check the Auto-correct entries to see if that has somehow been added . . .

    Go to File - Options

On the left, click Proofing, then on the right, click 'Auto-correct Options'

Scroll down alphabetically to find if that entry exists, if it does, delete it . . .
