Installation Incomplete Error: Excel Addin

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro6, with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365.  I tried to install an Excel Add-in from Quandl.  I keep receiving an Installation Incomplete error, which says - The installer was interrupted before Quandl Excel Add-in could be installed.  You need to restart the installer to try again.

Quandl specifies that - Windows 10 users are required to install the .net Framework (4.6.1) before installing the Excel Add-In.  My Windows 10 is fully updated and I downloaded the latest .net framework (4.8), yet still cannot install the Excel Add-in.

I have already installed this Excel Add-in in another laptop with the same Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365, so I do not think the error has anything to do with the Add-in per se.

Any advice?

Thanks

Thank you AvinashThakur2.  I went through the article, but still facing the problem.

When I try to install the Add-in, the installation bar shows progress, but before completing installation I get the error message

"The Installer was interrupted before [Quandl Excel Addin] could be installed.  You need to restart the intaller and try again"

Not sure what I can do about it.

    Thanks again.

    Hello Rod,

Thank you for replying. One of the possible reasons that it is not getting installed because IIS6 management compatibility is not configured on IIS. So I'll suggest you to go through the below link and follow the steps to resolve it.

.NET Framework is not just one thing that has one version number, each Framework has a different number and is a separate tool.

    Download 4.6.1 here

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/download/detail...

Install, reboot, then try to install that AddIn again.
