YuriAlo, you could try to increase the Windows 10 virtual memory, after do this process re-boot your pc and try to "save as" in your Onenote:

BTW: how many RAM memory has you pc?

YuriAlo, I tried to reproduce the issue in a 2016 version, I placed a lot of images with different dpi (until 300 / 4mb to 7mb per image) in a Onenote that already has several sections and pages, so, always that I try to save a image with "Save As" feature, shows the pop up windows and I able to save the file without issues.

Note: The 64-bit version will handle extremely large files better than the 32-bit version.

Hi Renzo thanks for your reply... i have the last version of one note downloaded from the store, and also the 2016 version... a few days ago i read an article where Microsoft says that the version supported will be only the version from the store, effectlively it has less tools but it works, and is more light. Anywhay i switched from the 2016 version to the new because i have other issues with the copy and paste  command, i tried to reinstl but the problem persist.

And also i still have the same problem with the  new version downloaded from the store, i tried to follow your advises but nothing change.

my works are images for my thesis and i can not take a screeshot, even if i have i professional tools for take them, but you undestand that an image with 96- 300 dpi is not the same taking a screenshot :(   .

thanks for your support is really appreciate.

    Hello YuriAlo,

I am an independent advisor and hoping to help you today.

    What is your Onenote version?

Do this happen when you save a lot of files to the hd or is randomly?

If you close Onenote and open again, are you still unable to save the image?

Maybe it is because the image is to large or Onenote has some internal issues.

Could you try to re-install Onenote:

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/instal...

(BTW: Onenote 2016 is much better than Onenote version from the Microsoft Store)

    But before, try doing next:

As a workaround, could you try the following:

Copy the image with combination keys (Ctrl+C) and paste in another location (Ctrl+V) in the same page, and try to save again.

Another workaround to save the images that you have in your notebooks from Onenote is using Snipping Tool to capture screenshots:

1.- Click right button over the image and select "Restore to Original Size"

2.- Open Snipping Tool, and click in New, select the Onenote image with the screen selector and save the file with any name.

Do not hesitate to ask if need more information.

    I hope that was useful.

    Have a good day.

    Best regards,

    Renzo Dazarola
