Keep Source Formatting on Copied PPT Slides

I am using MS Powerpoint for MAc vs 16.16.16. I wish to insert slides from one powerpoint to another while keeping original formatting. Under paste special it does not offer "keep source formatting". How can I keep source formatting?

    Keep Source Formatting normally appears at 2 spots. In the Paste button dropdown:

    ...and after you paste, from the small clipboard icon that appears below and to the right of the pasted slide:

    If one of those is missing, your copy of PowerPint may not have installed correctly.
