Sync error - refresh notebook

Hello, 

I am wondering if someone can help me with this issue. 

After downloading the latest updates to the Microsoft apps on my laptop, suddenly my One Note notebook isn't syncing. It's asking me to refresh the notebook, but when I do, it just stays on the 'closing notebook' window and it does not resolve. Below is a picture of the error code.

I have tried:

Signing in and out of one note. 

Closing my computer down and restarting.

Opening the notebook on One Note Online - I can view the notebook but not the new changes....so there is a problem with the syncing?

Thanks so much Clark.

I did try a fair few things, including syncing manually and it didn't work. 

However the simple suggestion of just making a new notebook worked....so I have just copied everything on to that. Not that this solves the original problem...but obviously it was something wrong with that individual notebook so it's probably just easier to make a new one. At least I can do my work now.

    To help you sync your notebooks normally, I'd like to suggest you check the following article to troubleshoot this issue: Fix issues when you can't sync OneNote.

    If this issue still exists, please share with me more info as below:

    1. Can you sync normally if you create a new simple notebook?
    2. What will happen if you sync your notebooks manually?
    3. The version number of OS(Apple menu>About this Mac) and Office(OneNote>About OneNote).

    Please have a try and share with me your result.
