Downloaded Excel Files Error Message - Corrupt

I can access the downloaded files via get and transform.

I have found solutions like the protected view and component - but my settings were fine for these already.

    Hi,

I had the same thing happen with a downloaded powerpoint file.

I switched off all the protected view settings and the file worked, I did the same in excel - and I can open downloaded files now.

I switch the protected view settings back on, and I get the file corrupt error.

Something is wrong with the protected view settings?

Start Excel and click File menu

    Click Browse on next screen

    Select the file

Now where Open button is, click the arrow next to it and click Open and repair

    See whether it works.

    Hello TwistyXl

I am V. Arya, Independent Advisor, to work with you on this issue. May I request you to explain your problem in detail? What message do you get when you open your file? I think the same file you are able to open in Get & transform but not in Excel.

I received an email, downloaded to my computer and then double-clicked the downloaded file to open.

I then get an error, the error is:

"The file is corrupt and cannot be opened."

    Accessing the file via data>get data>from file>workbook

Allows me to access the data.
