    When the components of the document are extracted from the file that is downloaded from Google Docs, instead of the Media folder being inside the Word folder, it is inside the "root" folder of the archive

    While Word 2010 is able to accommodate the misplacement of that folder, Word in Office 365 does not appear to be able to handle the misplacement.

    See http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/InvisibleGraphics.htm. Also, ensure that you are looking at the document in Print Layout view.

    This works in any other programs ( Word 2016/2019, online viewers) except Word 365. If you resave the document in Word 2016 - then it is displayed correctly in Word 365. So it looks like a regression.

    2. Save document on local drive
    3. Open document in Word 365
