The default key strokes for invoking superscript is CTRL&SHIFT&+ That is hold down the CTRL and the SHIFT keys and press the + key with the = sign below the +, not the + key on a numeric keypad.
Superscript does not work
My superscript does not work in either Office Word or Google Docs. I try to use Ctrl and >. My subscript function (Ctrl and < works), however my superscript does not. How can I fix it? Thank you

See which shortcut is assigned to the Superscript command. You can change the assigned shortcut if you wish.
Note that the screen shot below is specific to my system; if yours is in English, it may be a different shortcut by default.

I believe the shortcut for superscript is to "press Ctrl, Shift, and the Plus sign (+) at the same time." https://support.office.com/en-us/article/format...
Hope this helps!

Suzanne S Barnhill 275K Reputation points MVP Volunteer Moderator2019-05-15T23:21:23+00:00 To add to what Doug and Stefan have said, the default assignments for Ctrl+> and Ctrl+< are to the commands GrowFont and ShrinkFont, which increase the font size of the selection to the next higher or lower listed font size. (The shortcuts Ctrl+] and Ctrl+[ are assigned to GrowFontOnePoint and ShrinkFontOnePoint.)
