    Hello,

I am an independent advisor, and I am trying to help other users in Community with my experience in Microsoft products.

Check the file extension of the document. To do so right click on document > Properties.

Change the extension to .doc then try opening the document and check if that works.

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.

    Thank you

    Hello AvinashThakur2,

    THanks for your prompt reply.

I do not see the properties option.

This is what I see instead.

I tried the Rename button and renamed the file into doc instead of docx.

And this is what I got instead:

    Thanks anyway.

Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

It looks like the file didn't change extension types. Was there a popup box to confirm you wanted to change the extension when you tried changing it to doc?

When you right click on the file then choose "get info" could you take a screenshot of that screen and send it here?
