This morning I am being unable to open two databases at the same time by clicking on the shortcut or on the database icon itself.
That is to say, I can open one database (for example, db1.accdb) , but when I try to open a second database at the same time (db2.accdb) by clicking on the icon or on the shortcut, nothing occurs. Notwithstanding, I can open the second data base if I open another instance of Access (by clicking on the Access program icon) and navigate to the needed file.
I have never experienced this problem until today. Until now I was able to open any number of databases at the same time without any problem.
I have full repaired Office 2019 with any improvement
Any help will be appreciated

I think to remember that there was not two instances of Access, but I cannot confirm it because, given the annoying situation, yesterday night I took the hard approach and reinstalled Windows 1809 and all the programs, so, after a few hours of work, I have again the system working (and hope the problem doesn't reappear!)
Anyway, thank you very much to all of you for your help .

Good. We have visitors here with a variety of skills so it makes sense to get the really basic stuff out of the way.
Q1: When you open the second app, and nothing happens, does Task Manager > Details show two instances of Access?
Q2: Just to eliminate some other options, create 2 blank databases and repeat the test.
Thank you Tom.
I have followed your suggestion, but this not seems to be the problem. There is no hidden instance of Access running and, as a matter of fact, my first attempt to solve the problem was to reboot the machine, without any succeed.

Maybe you have an invisible instance of Access running. Find it with Task Manager > Details, or reboot your machine.
