Change the setup language in Microsoft Excel (Mac User)

Hi community!

I have the following situation: I want to give a small training to some of our apprentices in Microsoft Excel to prepare them for an exam. Since we are located in Switzerland, they all use the German version of Excel (meaning that all codes, descriptions etc. are in German). However, I use the English version of Excel.

Is there a possibility to change my setup language settings in Excel from English to German so that we can apply the same codes and functions. Or do I have to just do everything in the English version and then try to "translate" it to German?

Thanks in advance!

Nik

The reply from Jeganarayanan may be fine for a Windows PC but the instructions in the linked page can't be followed on a Mac even though the principle is similar.

On a Mac you need to go into > System Preferences - Language & Region to change the setting then Restart your Mac. When you launch any of the Mac Office programs the menus, dialogs, dates. times. currencies, etc. will be displayed according to the new settings.

NOTE that this is a system-wide modification to the Mac, so all software as well as the OS, itself, will be affected by the change.
