MS Help Viewer cannot fetch content

I get the following error message:

An error occurred while determining the list of available content. Uable to download content, because it is corrupt. the html element is missing.

I am using Visual Studio 2019.

    Thank you for reporting it in Microsoft Q&A.

    I cannot reproduce your issue. You can try to remove the installed content> uninstall the Help Viewer in Visual Studio Installer> repair your VS> add the contents again.

    I tested it myself and encountered the same issue.

    I suggest you can start a new thread and report this issue to VS Product Team in our Developer Community with some reproduced or detailed information. if you do report this issue, please share the link here, other forum member who are interested or meet the same or similar issue can go to vote for this thread.

    We found that the html file at the address https:://services.mtps.microsoft.com/ServiceAPI/catalogs/Dev15/en-US is corrupted, it contains invalid characters after each '<'. The content could be downloaded after downloading this file and repairing it in an editor.

    I can confirm, this is happening on all installations on all computers with VS 2017, VS 2019 and VS 2022 on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
