Custom stencil with configurable properties

There's an excellent stencil under Engineering -> Electrical Engineering -> Integrated Circuit Components -> 4X Building block complete. Once on the page you can right click it and it press "configure chip" .. from there you can add or subtract the number of pins.

How do I go about making a stencil like this myself? If I copy the stencil into my own custom shapes I can't even see where the properties / macro code is to mimic this programmable behavior (adjust size and number of pins based on user input).

Thanks!

The basics of shapes like this are multiple shapes within a group as well as multiple geometry sections, making these sections visible/invisible via the Actions section of the shapesheet. Put a shape on a page and use the Drawing Explorer window to look at the way the shapes expand within a group, then use the Shapesheet editor to look at the various cells within the shape and how they interact.

You will need to run Visio in Developer mode (File -> Options)

    Hope that helps.
