Office Lifetime version

Question

I bought a lifetime Office from a third party. After changing the password, it was replaced and need to reset the password. It said in order to do that it needed an administrator. Would this be a school account? How would I reset the password?

There is an Office 365 Home yearly / monthly subscription. 5 user (now 6).

There is an Office 2019 Home and Student one-time payment / "lifetime" license. 1 user

There is NO Office 365 Lifetime ... strike one.

Both of those licenses use your own email account, a hotmail.com or outlooklive.com account NOT an email account supplied by the vendor ... strike 2.

If it was a school account, was it an *.EDU account?

I don't know what you had, but without the proper bundle name there is not much more we can do.

Do you mean Office 2019? Your info says Office 365?

Specifically which bundle. Go to File menu > Account command. Look under the office logo. What Office bundle does it say.

What email account were you using: school or personal Hotmail / Outlook,com email / or one provided by the vendor?

What is the FULL and EXACT error message text? Or provide a screen capture of the error message dialog.

Microsoft Office 365 Home Lifetime Account Subscription 5 Users Pc/mac 2016. It was a school account. I wasn't able to change the order.

Microsoft Office 365 Home Lifetime Account Subscription 5 Users Pc/mac 2016. I had to use a Microsoft account the vendor provided. I found out it is a school account and was unable to reset the password it needed an administrator. I don't have an Office license now as I had to reset my computer and now use the online version. I do want the app back though.
