Microsoft Planner Background

We use Planner and for some reason the background has gone from a pale grey to white meaning that we have white tasks on a white background which is really hard on my eyes.

Does anybody know how to return the background to the previous grey colour?

Thank you.

Hi John,

Thanks for your updates.

I could understand your requirement, I know the white background may affect your eyes.

I am very sorry about the inconvenience for you.

I would like to help you, however, we can’t change the background now.

If you want to add the feature “change the background color” or return to light grey, I suggest you submit this idea at our User Voice or vote this similar idea which is submitted by another customer.

It is the best way to let our develop team hear your voice.

Thanks for your understanding.

Qing

Agreed - this new "look" is awful. It's two steps back from what is used to be. Not sure why they changed the look, it didn't add any functionality, only made it harder to look at.

This is a terrible oversight by MS, so hopefully they fix it quickly. However in the meatime there is a Google Chrome extension which allows the cards to be coloured differently (and uncoloured cards are defaulted grey):

Of course this means the background is still white so it doesn't really solve the larger problem, but at least there is a contrast between grey cards and white background with this extension (but of course only if you use Chrome...)

Thanks for responding to the post - it is slightly reassuring to note that it is not just me.

Please can we have the pale grey background that was used before back so that we have white tasks on a pale grey background.  Why would you deliberately make something harder to look at.....

    Hi John,

Thanks for posting the question on our forum.

I have tested this on our side, I found that the color of task is white.

It is not feasible to set the color of task now.

I could understand your feeling, I know it will be more convenience for you if we can set it.

I also think it is a good idea and I have search this on uservoice, there is people voting this.

Given the situation, I'd like to invite you to submit this idea at our User Voice or vote this similar idea which is submitted by another customer. Many features have been designed or upgraded based on customers’ comments.
