when I follow the instructions on how to create a mailbox export request, I do not have the following option:

  1. In EAC go to Recipients\Mailboxes, click 'More Options' and select 'export to a .PST file'

Under 'More Options' there is no option for 'export to .pst' why is that, and how can I make that an option??

Hi  ADunn_SREB,

No you could not do that, we are sorry this is for the situation if you have exchange server deployment for yourself.

For the workaround, you could do this:

Create an account MailAdmin (or user your O365 user account):

  • in the EAC go to user mailbox | mailbox delegation
  • then give Full Control to your MailAdmin Account
  • In MailAdmin's Outlook profile add users mailbox as additional MailAccount
  • Then import your PST file to users account.

This way you won't block your Users Outlook, they might start with a clear profile and their mail should sync to their Outlook while the mail is imported on a dedicated machine.

Kind Regards,

George
