Hi Marlene
Sorry to hear that you cant change the Caption name. I enclose the picture for your reference.
If still not working, could you try repair your office application?

I changed the caption of icon that is embeded in my excel file so it does not display the name as "Adobe Acrobat Document". After clicking "OK" nothing happens to the name. What is wrong with this?

Hi
My name is Jegan, would like to assist you regarding your request.
When you embed a PDF file in Excel, it gets a generic name such as “Adobe Acrobat Document”.
You can change this name by following the below steps:
Right-click on the PDF object and select Convert option in the Acrobat Document Object.
In the Convert dialog box, click on the Change Icon button.
In the Change Icon dialog box, change the caption to the name you want for the embedded PDF document.
Click OK.
This will change the name of the embedded PDF file.
Also, could you try to update the adobe acrobat reader as well?
Regards
Jegan
Hello, Just followed the steps again and before I did the update for the Acrobat Reader DC was updated. It still does not display the new name.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Marlene
Thanks so much. It did work. The next issue is how do we make it where you can read the icon in the cell. If I try and enlarge it the text is getting distorted.
