Cannot Copy and Paste Attachments within OneNote

Question

Hello All,

I am trying to copy a PDF attachment from one page in OneNote to another.  I hold the attachment to get the context menu and select copy, then go to a different page and hold again to select paste.  It looks like OneNote is trying to do something, I get a loading circle, but then nothing happens.

I have tried to copy and paste from the same page, different page in the same notebook and to a different notebook.  I confirmed this behavior on multiple iPads

Running iOS 13.3

OneNote 16.32 (191203)

Hello Genevive,

The issue remains after the update.  My iPad actually updated to this version automatically on Feb 10th.

Apologies for the wait, I appreciate your patience. I have an update from our Internal Support Team. They suggest that you install the latest version 16.34 (Build 20020304) of OneNote on your iPad. Once it's done, restart your device and check if the issue is still occurring. 

It would be great if you can update us with the results.

Sorry for the late reply on this.  It has been a busy few weeks.  I recently did try uninstalling and reinstalling OneNote, i still see the same results.  A link to the 25 second video I made is below.  I tried to copy/paste then to cut/paste with the same results.  I did confirm that I can copy/paste pictures and images without issue.

Hi D.P Watts,

When we tried to replicate the concern on our end, it seems that we are unable to get the same results as yours since we were able to copy and paste a PDF attachment successfully in different OneNote pages.

Could you please provide us a screen recording on how you copy and paste the attachment in your OneNote application? This way, we will have a better overview of the specific concern and for us give you a precise resolution.

Additionally, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the OneNote app on your iPad? If not, please try these steps to see if the issue will be resolved.
