Sorry for the inconvenience caused by Windows update.
I test that feature on my side and here are my test results:
- I can take a screenshot and save it directly when I take a screenshot via clicking OneNote>Insert>Screen Clipping.
- I can also take a screenshot via the shortcut directly. However, the screenshot wouldn't save into quick note directly. The same as you mentioned.
That feature may be changed during the Windows update. As a workaround, you can use the OneNote quick icon to take a screenshot and save it into Quick notes directly. You can follow the steps below to do that:
- Right-click OneNoteicon>OneNote icon defaults>Take screen slipping.
- Click OneNote icon>Select the location you want to save your screenshot>Check the option Don't ask me again and always do the following>Send to Selected Location.
After that, we can take a screenshot and save it directly to quick notes via clicking the OneNote icon. Thanks for your understanding.
