Can I modify the sharepoint error message when set the 'Title' as an Enforce unique values?

Let me know how to modify error message when set the column as an enforce unique valuein SP List.

I want to customize error message when duplicate the column value.

Thanks for your updates, I’m sorry this method I provided might work for Modern SharePoint experience instead of Classic one. Meanwhile, there is a REST API in SharePoint that exposes plenty of information about users, lists and document libraries, which might meet your requirement. However, since it contains code programming which is not supported in this community.

Thus, to better troubleshot your issue, I would like to confirm which SharePoint are you using?

For SharePoint Online, you can post your thread in SharePoint Online TechNet Forum.

For SharePoint Server, please post a new thread in SharePoint On-Perm MSDN Community.

Hi Gloria,

Thank you for your corporation.

We are using SharePoint Online and both classic and modern experience. Discussion Board also a classic experience. Therefore our client-side want some customize on Discussion Board which are we already using it.

I will try it at SharePoint Online TechNet Forum which is you mentioned.

Hi ATAPATTU Shrinika,

Thanks for your query in this community.

Based on your description, you would like to modify error message when set the column in a list. You can go to list settings>Validation settings> input the formula “=(Title<>Title)”>type the error message you want to customize in User Message> then go to your list and test to get the result.

If it doesn’t meet your requirement, please point it out.
