Excel 'Upload Failed'

In excel for mac i often get the message when trying to save a file (even on automatic save) which says "Upload Failed: your file wasn't uploaded because the changes can't be merged with changes made by someone else".  I am the only person making changes to the file and the only person that would have the file open so this should not be the case.  Happens with more than 1 file so not specific . Can anyone help or has seen before?

    Hi Ian131 ,

As you mentioned you’re encountering error message even when the files or documents are not shared to any other i.e. without any Co-authoring, we suggest you try the following and check the outcome:

    1. Click on the OneDrive icon in Menu bar> More> Preferences> Accounts> Unlink Account.
    2. open Keychain Access.app (Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access.app or type Keychain into Launchpad search)
    3. Search All Items for 'OneDrive' and delete com.microsoft.OneDrivemac.HockeySDK AND OneDrive Cached Credential
    4. Open Finder> Click Command + Shift + G> Enter ~/Library/Containers> Scroll down com.microsoft.onedrive.FinderSync and move to trash.
    5. Restart your Mac and login to OneDrive by launching it.

After performing the above steps, if still you encounter similar error message, can you please provide the following information:

    a. Can you try to open the problematic file or document in OneDrive Online and Click on Open in Excel to check whether it AutoSave the changes without any issue?

    b. When did the problem occurs to start? If you can recall any change made before the problem occurs, please provide them to us.

    Appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Regards,

    Eric
