I can't build c++

I have a problem: I can't run c++ program, neither can I build it and use debug or something. can someone help me?

If you cannot build it, there is nothing to run

How about providing some details. What error do you get when you try to build it? What type of project is program a part of? What version of Visual Studio? Does the source file name end with ".cpp"?

There are two likely causes. Either you did not install C++ with Visual Studio (very possible) or you did not create a project (very typical beginner mistake).

i made it work but i just deleted everything in visual studio and reinstalled it. that shouldn't be the solution

The code you provided is correct. As far as I'm concerned, there may be some errors in the visual studio. You could try to repair Visual Studio or reinstall visual studio like you tried.

I do not know what deleted everything means but it could be a big mistake. Hopefully the re-installation of VS fixed any problems. And if C++ did not work because it was not installed and it now works then at least you have permanently solved that problem. At this point we cannot determine if that was the cause and solution but since C++ is working now we can assume it was just that C++ was not installed.
