Excel truncating hyperlinks when copying sheet

(Excel - Office 365)

When copying a worksheet from one workbook to another, the hyperlinks truncate and I receive the error message "The address of this site is not valid.  Check the address and try again."  Does anyone have a trick for stopping or correcting this?  Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your response.  That action didn't keep my links from breaking.   I have emailed our IT department to see if there are any updates coming as some older help tickets indicated this problem resolved after updates.  I've not had this happen before, and I use Excel daily.

    Hi Elaine,

Please go to File > Option > Advanced, scroll down to the General section, click Web Option button, click Files tab, make sure that the check box before "Update links on save" option is not ticked.

Then removing the hyperlink and then re-add it again, see if there is any improvement.

    Regards,

    Eric

    Hi Elaine,

According to Update history for Office 365 ProPlus, The latest version is 1905, you can check your version by File > Account > Update Options.

If the issue happens in all the workbooks, it could be related with version.

    Regards,

    Eric
