Using Access database on multiple computers simultaneously

Not familiar with access at all, someone built us a database. Its a split database it is currently on one computer and we want to get it on 3. I tried copying the front end and putting it on another computer then moving the back end to one drive and linking both front ends to the backend on onedrive. I keep getting error messages before getting to the switchboard about macros and misspelling. I am not sure what's wrong or what I could be doing wrong. I moved the original file to onedrive now the database is not working at all. I am currently doing a system restore on the computer in hopes that it will put things back where they were so the database at least functions on one computer. Not sure how I can make this work. I desperately need help!!!

You can't use cloud-based storage like OneDrive with a multi-user Access database. The backend must be installed on a network folder that can be accessed by all users, and that folder must be set to allow Create, Read, Update, and Destroy (CRUD) permissions to all users.

If you install the backend to that folder, you'd then relink the frontend to the backend, and then make copies of the frontend and install them to the machines that need to run your application.

In addition to what Scott said, the front-end also needs to be in a Trusted Location.

Whomever built the database put the backend in a folder not sure if its a network folder but only one computer (main computer) can access it. When when i turn on sharing for that folder the other computers cannot find the network.  If i try to move it to a new network folder for all the computers to access it will not work. I get error messages and the database will not work. Is there a way to find its location and setup a new network to move it to? At one point all the computers were on a homegroup, but that feature is no longer an option on the computer where the backend is stored. Totally not computer savvy at all. Looking for any and all help.

A win restore has no impact on data files, only settings.

You need to move the backend back to its original location
