Why OneDrive folder directory is different on different computers?

I organized my OneDrive folder directory on one computer thinking it would be the same on any computer I signed into my 365 account.  But when I go on my new Surface Pro 7, the folders are in the old not organized folder directory in OneDrive.  I don’t understand this.  I thought that OneDrive was a cloud service and whenever I signed into my 365 membership, I would see the same folder structure and files on any computer.

    Hi,

OneDrive file updates will only be made on the second PC if they are chosen to be synced under Ondrive > Settings > Account > Choose Folders. It won't automatically delete local copies of files from before they were changed if "Files not in a folder" and the folder they were moved to aren't chosen. Changes should then be shown after a successful sync.
