Office-Error "Element not found"

Hello!

I, a Windows 10 user, am having major problems opening Office files. When in an explorer, the file icon shows a blank page and the message "Element not found" pops up when I double-click on it. When trying to open an Office application from the desktop, it seems to not recognize it and nothing pops up. This problem is only present on one of my two accounts. Until about two days ago, everything worked fine. I have been using the same Windows and Office 365 versions since I have bought this computer.

    Hi anika,

    Have you tried Quick Repair yet? To repair your Office installation, right click on the start menu and choose Apps & Features, find and select the Office installation. Choose Modify then select the Quick repair option.

    Are you talking about Windows accounts or OneDrive/Microsoft accounts?
