I have a task that has been an ongoing project since April.  I have entered all comments since that time as things have progressed, etc.  I noticed yesterday that I could not find one from July but didn't think too  much of it.  Today, all of my July comments have disappeared!  I only see Apr, May, June, then it jumps to August.  This is very alarming as I am storing all my notes on this project there!  HELP!

I am the Plan owner and no one else has access to this information.  The conversations are not being deleted by me.  When I originally notified you of this issue, there were a month's worth of comments that had disappeared.  Now they have all disappeared except for August.  This is a project that has been ongoing since April 15 so there should be comments from June and July - they have simply vanished!

    Hi Queenie,

Thanks for posting back and sharing the detailed information.

I test from my side and find that if the group owner(the plan owner) deletes the group conversations in Outlook(or Outlook on the web), those comments also disappear from the task in Planner.

So I suggest you contact the owner of the plan, check if he can see those comments in Planner and in conversations from Outlook on the web. If not, confirm if he deletes the group conversations.

Besides, if the affected task is assigned to other users as well, confirm with them, see if they also find the comments disappear.

    Best regards,

    Tina

Thanks, Tina for reaching out.  I have verified that the missing comments are from the July 12 - August 13 timeframe in only one Task in my Planner.  The other tasks have all their comments intact.  I called our IT department and they verified that we are still licensed for Exchange Online Plan 2 so there should be no issue there.  I have not heard that anyone else in my office is having this concern.  But one of our IT employees mentioned in the last week he had some issues with the comments in the Planner as well.

    Thank you.

    Hi Queenie,

I could feel the frustration when finding the comments disappear and understand the comments are important to you. Sorry about the inconvenience caused by the issue.

I suggest you try following and see if you could find the comments in July:

Go to Outlook web app, find the related group of your plan, take a look at all conversations for your task and see if you can see the comments.

If you still cannot find the comments, I'd like to confirm information below for troubleshooting, thanks for your time and effort.

1.Do you colleagues in the same plan have this issue?

2.Does the issue happen in a specific task in the plan? Do other tasks have the issue? Do other plans have the issue?

3.Please go to Office 365 Subscriptions page, capture a full screenshot of your Licenses information.

    Best regards,

    Tina
