Table Styles disappear

Hello,

While working on a document, I used custom table styles. Document contains +50 tables. Suddenly, during editing document, table styles disappear.

I tried reapplying the table styles and it works for a while, even after saving and reopening the document. But then again, suddenly, they are gone again.

The undo option is not able to bring them back, so it's not caused by any normal action. I have to reapply the style again and again (the style stays available in the ribbon).

Current version: 365 ProPlus, Build: 1708 (8431.2250).

I saw on the net the same issue appearing in Word 2002, but without a clear solution.

kr

Anthony

    Hi,

My name is Naval and I am an Independent Advisor. I would like to help you.

Please follow the steps mentioned below to start Word in safe mode and check if it helps:

    1. Close Word.
    2. Press the Windows key+R on the keyboard to open Run window.
    3. In Run window and type winword /safe.

Note: There is a space between 'Winword' and '/'.

If you are able to work with Word without any problem then the issue might be due to add-ins. In order to disable the add-ins follow the steps given below:

    1. In Word, click on File< Options< Add-ins.
    2. Under Manage select COM Add-ins.
    3. Click on GO options beside Manage, uncheck all the add-ins and click Ok.
    4. Try to open Word and check if it works fine.

Note: Similarly follow the steps to disable add-ins for other Office applications
