I am trying to open a file and it keeps giving me this error msg at work.
Up until last week, I had no issue accessing this file but all of sudden I keep getting this error msg.
"The Microsoft Access database engine cannot open or write to the file 'file director\file'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view and write its data"
Here are some additional info:
OS: Windows 10
Software: Microsoft Access (Office 2013)
File IS in USB stick, NOT a network folder, therefore it is not possible that the file is already opened by another user...
When I look at the property of the file, under attributes, Read-only is NOT checked.
I did quick google search and tried most of them with not much of a help.
When I copied the file from USB to desktop and open it, different error msg comes up " 'ld' is not an index in this table" and I have to click ok multiple times before another msg comes up "The Visual Basic for Applications project in the database is corrupt".
At this point, I'm guessing that the file itself is corrupted but I'm reaching out to the community help to see if I'm wrong... (I really hope that I am wrong...).
Thank you
