Good day.

I have a subscription that I'm using everyday, but I see the message that I have to assign a license.

I assigned the license to my account. (I already had one license), but I don't see any change.

What do I have to for going on using my developer subscription?

Hello CorradoCappucci,

Thanks for your post here.

According to the screenshot you provided, your subscription is inactive. Given this situation, your subscription will not be auto-renewed and will expire after 3 months.

The subscription and all data will then be deleted within 60 days after expiration. Therefore, you’ll need to set up a new subscription and migrate the data to the new subscription. To migrate your data from your current subscription to a new subscription, here is an article for your reference: How do I migrate my data when my subscription expires?

Microsoft uses a set of algorithms and telemetry to determine whether your subscription is active. If you're an active developer, your subscription will be renewed automatically for another 90 days from the original date of expiration. If you think you are an active developer, you can submit a form when your subscription is expired. In the dashboard warning, choose the Let us know link, as shown in the following image. And here is a reference for you: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/developer-program/office-365-developer-program-faq

We sincerely appreciate your continued support for our products and services.

Regards,

Seven

    Hi Corrado,

Thanks for your reply and understanding.

As I said in my first reply, Microsoft uses a set of algorithms and telemetry to determine whether you are actively developing. As support engineers, we are not aware of how the mechanism works and we don’t have the right to make it appear as active. Apologies for the convenience.

Since your subscription will expire on Dec 29, 2019, you can try to submit a form by clicking let us know in the dashboard warning when your subscription expires on Dec 29, 2019. The related team will check for your development activity according to your request and let you know if you qualify for an extension.

Thanks again for your understanding and support.

    Best Regards,

    Seven

    Dear Seven Zhou,

Thank you very much for your effort.

I just would like to know how they determine that I'm inactive. I use the subscription daily. Maybe not exactly for developing, more for teaching and training.

Anyway if you have some idea how to appear as active you are welcome to tell me.

    Have a good day.

    Corrado
