Teams - Folder Modified Date

I have just set up Teams, and have included folders within the files tab.

When I drop a file within a folder, it shows that the file was last modified x minutes ago. However when viewing the folder list, the last modified is not the same as the file that has just been dropped in. The only way that I can change the last modified for the folder is by editing the name of the folder itself, rather than anything inside it. Is there anyway to overcome this?

Thanks

Hi AM199308,

According to my tests, the behavior you have described is "by design". Teams is using SharePoint infrastructure and files libraries for Channel sharing. Also, the source of file and folder modification time is SharePoint information.

I searched for a workaround, however Microsoft Teams doesn't have this kind of settings. To share your suggestion with our Product Group Engineering Team, please post it onhttps://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/

Your time and understanding will be highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Nemanja
