ppt graphs error

I've been creating presentations in ppt by creating graphs in ppt (xls that is part of ppt) for 13 years. I usually copy graphs and change data and format it, and it used to hold nicely. Now I'm in a new company and I have so many problems:

  • i've done 20 slides with ppt graphs
  • I enter e.g. graph 10 afterwards, and when it opens, the graph changes (type and formatting); and the data and the labels are pulled from e.g. graph 2. There is no undo option
  • I open e.g. graph 15, and it pulls data from some other graph (maybe again graph 2, maybe e.g. graph 20)
  • I've tried to do one presentation for 4 times, from scratch. At first it is ok, and then... somehow it goes wild. I have no idea why, but I need help urgently!!!

    Hello VStimac,

A possible reason for this issue is the data source of the graphs. You might need to lock the source for this issue to be fixed. However for us to be sure, please send us a sample file in order for us to have a better picture of the concern and eventually replicate your issue. We also want to request a video about how you are entering the graphs. If you need instructions on how to create a screen recording, click this link. You can respond to the private message that we sent and attach the recording to your post. To view your private messages, click on your profile name, select My Profile, and then click on View private messages. If you need further information on how to share the file, click here.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Bob
